New, unused item stored at home, a set of 4 sometsuke (blue and white) plates (everything in the images). Since inban (printed) techniques were used from the Meiji era onwards, I can't say for sure, but these were made before or during the Meiji era as high-quality, hand-painted items. The designs are hand-painted by artisans, and each one is subtly different in the shades and touch of the cobalt blue. The red circled area in the second image has been carefully crafted, with the clay raised to create unevenness. Size: Diameter: Approximately 10.5cm Height: Approximately 3cm These are old items. Although they are new and unused, they have been stored for a considerable amount of time since they were made. Therefore, there may be some storage dirt, and unlike today, inspections were less strict, so there may be warpage, imperfections, and slight chips on the foot or rim.
