This backpack pad keeps the space between the often-hot backpack and your back comfortable. This one features a sophisticated blue floral pattern with gray bias tape. The honeycomb-like three-dimensional structure of the fabric creates air passages, making it less sticky and providing excellent cushioning. Made with two layers of this fabric, it's not flimsy, but durable and fluffy. It's easy to attach with elastic and hooks. It can be attached to backpacks without a bottom rim and to larger A4-size backpacks. Please check the size in the images before purchasing. My daughter, who started first grade, developed a bruise near the shoulder straps, so I initially made this to improve the cushioning on her back. It has two pockets, and at our house, we fold quilt batting and put it in the upper pocket to prevent the shoulder straps from directly contacting her back. My daughter says it doesn't hurt anymore! and she uses the backpack pad every day on her way to school. In the hot season, we put a non-freezing type of ice pack in the lower pocket.
